On Saturday as Cash and I were waiting to enter the ring for Novice FAST the speaker crackled and scared him out of his wits. No qualifying score due to over time and blowing the bonus. He was still spooky during Excellent JWW and blew the weave entry so another NQ. Cash saved the day in Open Standard with a nice run 17 seconds under SCT, and a first place.
Today was better. He didn't react so sharply to the speaker and won the Novice FAST class for his second Q toward his title. We had a nice run going in Exc A JWW when he uncharacteristically popped out at the third pole, did an immediate about face and PEED on the weave pole! I was shocked. He has never eliminated in the ring. My only guess is that a critter left its scent on the weave poles when they were left outside over night and he decided he must cover that scent. Big fat NQ for that class.
However he did win the Open Std class 15 seconds under SCT for his Open title. On to Exc A Standard!
